
We all have choices in life. When buying a resale or development property abroad,
you don’t just have to choose where you are going to buy, but with whom.
It has never been my way to talk down about other companies or belittle the other
agents out there. However, never deal with a real estate company quick to criticise
or slander another company. It shows insecurity, desperation and a total lack of
credibility.
I feel that here at MRI we have enough of our own strengths and services to offer
to clients, and that these speak for themselves. But ask yourself the following
vital questions about any company you are considering dealing with:
- Do they have a track record of reselling investment property for their investor
clients? Bear in mind that a company which has only been operating for a short time
will have had no success in doing this precisely because of this short timescale
of operating.
- Is the company international, with offices in other countries? This gives you the
opportunity to buy elsewhere from a company you have dealt with already.
- Do they participate in worldwide exhibitions on a regular basis, thus being better
placed to help you to sell your property in the future should you wish to?
- Does the company have a fully operational rentals and management department, thus
providing you with the option of a rental income to help cover monthly overheads?
- Do they have an after-sales department to help you when you are completing on the
property?
- Can the company offer you referral letters from previous clients who have purchased
through them?
Having pointed out these strengths and services, I will leave you to make the choice
of who you would rather buy or view property with.

Hi helen,
first of all thank you very much for all your help with getting the apartment. we
are now obviously moving forward with this. we really did like the location and
all that comes with it. hopefully, the summer periods will be busy!
also please say thank you to jules, she was really wonderfull and showed us around
malaga. we werent expecting malaga to be so beautifull, we had typical holiday resort
full of teenagers in mind!
and again, thanks to david who showed us around the smir area and explained the
locations and their developments. elena and sandra were helpful too. in a nutshell,
we really felt the MRI team were professional and specially the way you handled
our flight cancellation, was really responsible. Thanks for everything!
Now, can you please check when i will get a call from after sales dept. as i would
like to move forward with the payment of 30% before 10th april, if possible,. as
i will then go off to holiday then.

A big thankyou to Henrik Neilson MRI, Dominican Republic. We recently had a visit
with Mr Neilson to view property, two things happened, firstly we met a most professional
and knowlegeable gentleman Mr Henrik Neilson. Who from the outset understood what
would be suitable for us in terms of investment and budget. He never at any time
tried to encourage us to stretch ourselves outwith a sensible budget. We had a programme
of property inspections that were sensibly time tabled to allow us time for refreshment
breaks in between times. Henrik, also took the viewing at the pace my husband could
cope with, as he has suffered from a very bad spinal injury. Of course there was
the serious business side of things to deal with, and everyone will be nervous when
it comes to parting with their hard earned cash. It was our experience however to
have left the offices of MRI, feeling confident that we were dealing with professionals
with a sound knowledge base and a professionalisim which made the whole process
quite enjoyable, and fostered a feeling of trust.
The second thing that happened to us, was the beautiful properties we viewed. The
finish was excellent, the location breathtaking. The result we have a beaufitul
new apartment due autumn this year, and a second off plan investment property due
spring 2008. At this point, I can admit I'm not the most latteral at visualising,
however Henrik, was on hand, and he brought the vision of the off plan property
to life for us. I believe that Mr D MacAnthony should know that he is very fortunate
to have Mr Neilson in his team.
Our support from Henrik did not end when we left the Island to return to Scotland.
We have had many up-dates from Henrik regarding our property. So thank you Henrik/MRI,
we really have started the process of making our dreams come true with your support.
